As a single mother and early adopter to online business, Kinga Dow’s foundational years were full of uncertainty, risk—and determination.

The vision of creating a boutique agency that serves amazing clients and gives talented people access to sustainable employment began to take shape in the early 2000s, when the Internet and digital marketing were still in their infancy.

After more than 20 years of entrepreneurial evolution, the vision has come full circle.

Humble Beginnings: From photo editing to exploring web design

  • Kinga Dow’s path started with photo editing, the initial skill that launched an entrepreneurial journey rooted in strategic design. In the early stages, hand-coding was the norm, social media didn’t exist yet, and the demand for creative online services was booming.

    As someone who gravitates toward aesthetics and messaging, Kinga realized that she wasn’t meant for coding, so she built a team around her and stayed focused on growing the business.

    Environmentalism, social impact, and long term sustainability are at the center of Kinga’s personal and professional philosophy.

    When the opportunity to co-create a carbon footprint calculator came along, Kinga said yes.

  • A purposeful project

    At its peak, the myfootprint.org carbon footprint calculator reached 1 million annual visits. The free tool became so popular that it attracted licensing deals with universities, companies, and media organizations.

    Over the course of the project, the team collected more than 4 million email addresses. The project showed just how far digital creative and online tools can reach, especially when they’re designed to serve a greater purpose.

    After helping thousands of users and developing several project offshoots, Kinga considered how she could leverage the experience to help others.

  • Shifting
    into eCommerce

    It was time to specialize. Pivoting into the complex world of eCommerce as a single mom came with considerable challenges. The backend of eCommerce sites are highly complex and building eCommerce brands is competitive.

    In the mid to late aughts, templated site builders like Shopify, Magento, and Woo Commerce came to the forefront and changed the eComm landscape. As innovation disrupted the industry, Kinga worked to adapt the business.

    Just then, the Great Recession hit. 2008 brought in some of the most difficult years of Kinga’s life. Raising a young son, trying to keep the business above water in the midst of an economic crash, and simply getting by became the only priorities.

    It took several years to recover from the fallout of 2008, but Kinga’s tenacity led to a period of reinvention and opportunity.

  • Finding the way forward

    A new tool emerged that launched Kinga’s career on a trajectory that is still going today. In 2017, after years of building websites for clients in the eComm space, Kinga found and pivoted into her niche—Klaviyo email marketing.

    Yet again, Kinga was an early adopter to an emerging technology. She made the conscious decision to focus exclusively on email marketing, which created the foundation of the boutique agency that continues to grow and thrive today.

    Determined to master the Klaviyo email platform, Kinga established herself as a foremost expert and strategist in key aspects of eCommerce digital marketing campaigns. Now, with decades of experience building businesses, Kinga is finally in a position to pay it forward.

    The mission is to serve amazing clients, and ensure that everyone who comes into her orbit is set up for success.
